OUR CLASSES

At Upton’s Little Saints, our teachers focus on preparing each child for Kindergarten and beyond through a research-based, individualized approach that helps children reach their full potential.


Preparing for Kindergarten


Kindergarten today is more advanced than it once was. Schools now expect children to begin with basic math skills, recognize sounds, and write their names. Additionally, children should be comfortable being away from their parents, able to focus on lessons, complete tasks independently, and have the social and emotional skills to interact with a full classroom of peers.

At Little Saints, we provide a nurturing and structured environment that fosters these skills, ensuring every child is prepared for their educational journey.

DOVES PRE-K CLASS

The Doves Pre-K Class provides a high quality, developmentally appropriate learning environment that encourages diversity, cooperation, confidence through building skills to promote independence, and Kindergarten Readiness.


Learning is accomplished through class group activities, small group pull-outs, and individual work with a teacher. This allows us to truly focus on each child. We are able to encourage and focus where each child needs the support or may need the extra room to grow. 


Our Curriculum:


Bi-Weekly educational themes such as:

"America the Beautiful"

"Dr. Suess"

"Transportation"

"Where Do I Live?"


Daily theme-related books and art projects help themes and ideas come to life and encourage discussions


Letter of the week activities to encourage letter and sound recognition


Number of the week activities to promote counting and number recognition


Sight Word Introduction - As a class we work on sight words, during pull outs we will work with children to further their skills at their individual levels. We are very proud to say that we have had a number of students leave Little Saints beginning to READ!


Math Introduction- As a class we learn to count to 100, draw 10- frames, use tally marks, dominoes, dice, and more. We begin to discuss the ideas of addition and subtraction, during pull outs we will work with children to further their skills at their individual levels. This has proven very successful. 


Ample physical activity with outdoor play (or indoor movement activities when weather doesn’t permit outdoor time)


In the Doves Pre-K Classroom, we feel so blessed to have to been entrusted with the opportunity to teach, encourage, and care for your child.

CHERUBS PRESCHOOL CLASS

The Cherubs Preschool Class blends the educational and social aspects of a preschool with full-day child care, allowing children to develop strong friendships while growing academically.


Our Curriculum

Potty Training Support


Our bathroom is equipped with various toilet seats and a changing table to accommodate children at different potty training stages.


In the Cherubs Classroom, we strive to treat each child as the gift from God that they are, providing them with the same love and care a parent would.
